Virginia man taken into custody after fatally capturing canine


A Virginia man is in custody after capturing and killing a canine following an altercation with its proprietor, in keeping with the Fairfax County Police Division.

Roman Vyacheslavov Gorelov, 33, is charged with animal cruelty and reckless discharge of a firearm inside 1,000 ft of a faculty.

Fairfox County police mentioned officers responded to a reported capturing shortly earlier than 10 a.m. on Friday.

Once they arrived on the scene, officers noticed a canine, a 2-year-old yellow Labrador and Beagle mix, with a gunshot wound. The canine was transported to an animal hospital and finally died.

The canine’s proprietor was standing subsequent to it when officers arrived on the house.

Gorelov returned to his close by house after capturing the animal.

Police referred to as Gorelov after studying of the incident, and he surrendered himself to officers.

He was taken to the adult detention center and is being held with out bond.
