Nevada Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto defeats Republican Adam Laxalt in Senate race

The Fox Information Choice Desk can challenge that Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto will maintain her seat in Nevada, defeating Republican challenger Adam Laxalt. This win will even give the Democrats continued management of the Senate.

A run-off in Georgia will determine whether or not the Democrats can have 51 seats, or Republicans have 50 seats, forcing Vice President Harris to interrupt ties.

Laxalt, who was supported by each former President Donald Trump and longtime Senate Republican Chief Mitch McConnell, was one of many leaders of Trump’s effort in Nevada to unsuccessfully overturn the then-president’s 202 loss within the state to now-President Biden.
