Kentucky’s John Calipari hooks up coal miner who went viral with VIP remedy for Wildcats sport


Final month, a photo of a coal miner and his son on the College of Kentucky males’s basketball Blue and White sport went viral.

Michael McGuire rushed after his shift in his work boots and uniform to watch the game together with his 3-year-old son.

Head coach John Calipari noticed the pair and posted a photograph of them to Twitter, saying he would give them VIP remedy at a future sport.

The McGuires acquired that remedy Friday evening.

Calipari hooked the McGuire household up with a visit through the group bus to Kentucky’s residence sport towards Duquesne.

Fourteen family members took the journey to the sport Friday.

The remedy did not cease with only a journey to Rupp Enviornment. The household sat proper behind the Wildcats’ bench.

Calipari tweeted final month that his “household’s American dream began in a…coal mine, so this image hits residence.”

The Wildcats are the fourth-ranked group within the nation behind UNC, Gonzaga and Houston.
