Dallas air present collision sufferer recognized as former Keller metropolis councilman and U.S. Military veteran

Keller Mayor Armin Mizani recognized one of many six individuals who died in a collision between two historic military planes on Saturday as Terry Barker, a U.S. Military veteran and former Keller Metropolis Councilman. 

“Terry Barker was beloved by many. He was a good friend and somebody whose steerage I typically sought,” Mizani wrote in a tribute to Barker on Sunday. “Even after retiring from serving on the Metropolis Council and flying for American Airways, his love for group was unmistakable.” 

A B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a P-63 Kingcobra fighter airplane collided on Saturday afternoon throughout a Wings Over Dallas air present, which payments itself as “America’s Premier World Conflict II Airshow.”

Barker was also a member of the Allied Pilots Association.

The Allied Pilots Affiliation, which represents American Airways pilots, mentioned that Barker and one other pilot who died within the crash, Len Root, have been members of their union. 

Video of the collision confirmed the P-63 fighter airplane showing to careen into the B-17 bomber, sending each plane into the bottom and igniting a big explosion.
