Christmas kicked off in Washington, D.C. Friday morning because the 2022 Capitol Christmas Tree arrived on the U.S. Capitol.
‘Ruby,’ the identify of this 12 months’s tree, is a 78-foot tall Purple Spruce from North Carolina, and it was harvested within the Pigsah National Forest.
The tree and its touring crew left North Carolina for the Capitol through the first week of November. Reside monitoring of the tree’s journey started Nov. 5 and ended with the ultimate cease on Nov. 18.
